You Want Your Baby Back? ( Chili’s Contest)

*this is a sponsored post*

I want my baby back baby back baby back. Wasn’t that a catchy ad campaign? I used to walk around singing that all the time. I guess it paid off because the good people at Chili’s gave me a $50 gift card to enjoy while I was on my vacation. That was a no brainer because I have always loved Chili’s.

So my family and I went with all intentions of spending every penny of the gift card. Drinks, appetizers and desserts. I started my meal off with their frozen Top Shelf Margarita (no salt). As a appetizer we had their classic Nachos. My girls had the fried shrimp with fries and spicy cole slaw.

I ordered their new Guacamole Burger. We all three had desserts. My girls had their new Sweet Shots. One ordered the warm Cinnamon Roll and the other the Chocolate Fudge with a scoop of ice cream. I had the Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie® by myself (which I could only eat half of so I wasn’t a total pig).

Overall the food was good. The waitress was a little slow, but nice. The drink was excellent. The only thing is I was very unhappy withe the New Guacamole Burger. It had a sauce on it that made the bun mushy and everything was sliding off.

I had a frame of reference because since my vacation began I had already eaten two Guac burgers at other places. So I really couldn’t recommend it, but everything else was awesome.

Okay why am I telling you all about what I ate? One because that was what they gave me the gift card to do and two because now you can win your own gift card.

Chili’s is hosting a contest called Shoot Out to Eat Out where they are giving away one $50 gift card every day from now until August 30th. All you have to do is upload a video explaining why you don’t want to cook here and you’re entered.

Dinner time is approaching so get over there. Hope you guys win. If you do come back and tell us about it.

Thanks for reading,

I like that more companies are becoming interactive w/the casual consumer & sponsoring contests like these. :) I might make a video when I get some free time.

Chili’s used to be my lunch spot for a while when I worked at my old job; especially when they had that 2 for $20 combo going on. My cousin & I frequented that spot a LOT, haha.

I agree. I think it’s great for business for companies to be more interactive. I was already a Chili’s fan I really am now. I believe the two for twenty is back on. This conversation is making me hungry lol.
