Somebody Spotlight: Bookman Beattie

This week I am start­ing a new series on the blog enti­tled “Somebody Spotlight” to show appre­ci­a­tion for all of you who read the blog and are par­tic­u­larly sub­scribed via Google Friend Connect. Many of you are doing great things that are cer­tainly note­wor­thy.

This week the Somebody Spotlight shines on Bookman Beattie. Mr. Beattie has had a very exten­sive career in the book world as for­mer Publisher and Editor. He now does book reviews, judges book awards as well as blogs.

Former lead­ing New Zealand pub­lisher and book­seller, and widely expe­ri­enced judge of both the Commonwealth Writers Prize and the Montana New Zealand Book Awards, talks about what he is cur­rently read­ing, what impresses him and what doesn’t, along with chat about the inter­na­tional English lan­guage book scene, and links to sites of inter­est to booklovers.
